Design collaboration with Ranura Edirisinghe
Designer for Textiles, Prints and Graphics at Burberry, Ranura Edirisinge explores the use of traditionally crafted handlooms in his designs to inspire innovative and sustainable practices within the textile industry. His artistic philosophy being rooted in the preservation of craft and heritage, Ranura joins us for a conscious collaboration.
A Central Saint Martins alum, Ranura completed his BA Fashion Knitwear as a recipient of the highly acclaimed Samsung Fashion Design Fund Award in 2018. He then went on to become an Artist in Residence at the Mahler & LeWitt Studios in Spoleto, Italy where he imbibed in the historic textile traditions of Perugia.
Having been awarded the prestigious LVMH Grand Prix Scholarship in 2021, Ranura also went on to complete his MA Fashion for Textiles as a recipient of the Coats Foundation Trust Bursary.
